Crystal Head – early September

We only used Crystal Head as an overnight anchorage but thought it was worth mentioning as we had our first real sail in the Kimberlies to here. We were flying, with 15knots on the beam and the current with us we doing over 7 knots – might explain why we were able to hook up… drum roll… a sail fish! The first time we’ve caught one. After a few pics we managed to get our lure back and let him swim off to fight another day.

Anglers can take years to catch a sailfish yet a couple of old (my eyes are not too good) yachties can fluke one.

Hope you mean "old" as in experience, because to my eyes they look young and cute(don't take that personally Simon)
